Meet our Coaches for 2026 SEASON!
We have a Head Coach with the help of a Lead Assistant and two Assistant Coaches to lead practice sets, break down technique, and create a safe environment for our swimmers.
We also have Junior Volunteers that start volunteering at age 15 to help our younger swimmers in the lanes to keep on task, help guide along, or help their technique with guidance of the assistant coaches. These volunteers can earn several hours for NHS or other leagues requiring volunteer hours. It’s a swim family that keeps everyone of all ages interconnected.
Coach Morgan is excited about this new opportunity and loves watching swimmers grow and develop their skills. She began swimming at just four years old and competed for the Dayton Raiders, a USA Swimming team in Ohio. Her swimming career continued through college at Ohio Wesleyan University, where she specialized in distance events, IM, and butterfly.
In 2011, after a 12-year hiatus, Coach Morgan returned to the sport as a Masters swimmer with Katy Aquatics. Through dedicated training, she qualified for Nationals and achieved outstanding results, placing 1st in the Mile, 3rd in the 400 freestyle, and earning two 4th-place finishes in the 200 IM and 200 freestyle.
Coach Morgan has extensive coaching experience, having coached at Cimarron from 2010–2019 and again from 2023–2025, as well as at Swttlement from 2021–2022.
Swimming truly runs in her family. Her oldest daughter, Jamie, swam for Katy Aquatics, Katy High School, and the University of Idaho, specializing in distance, IM, and butterfly. Her middle son, Tyler, participated in summer league swimming and also played soccer for Albion, Katy High School, and Johnson & Wales University. Her youngest daughter, Emma (11), currently swims with Katy Aquatics and specializes in sprint freestyle and backstroke.
Coach Morgan and her daughter are thrilled to begin this new chapter together!
Hi! My name is Brianna Demmi. I swam competitively for 11 years with both school and club teams, as well as with the Firefish! It was with this team where I first fell in love with swimming, and summer swim holds such a special place in my heart! (I was even an Assistant Coach for the Firefish when I was in high school!) I am a recent graduate of the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, where I obtained a B.S. in Health Sciences, majoring in Physical Education and Coaching. Currently, I am the Junior High Track Coach at Logos Preparatory Academy. Last summer, I was the Head Coach for West Memorial Swim Team. On top of that, I served my college internship as an Assistant Cheer Coach with Central Texas Christian. Beyond my coaching experience, I have also been teaching swim lessons since 2022. I am currently working on obtaining my teachers certification, and hope to teach in an Elementary school in the fall. I am so excited to be back with the Firefish and I can't wait for a great season!
